Thoughts on Beauty

A few thoughts/opinions on beauty that I'd like to share with you:

1.Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

2.It is subjective to the individual.

3.Everyone has a different sense of style and different tastes.

4.What is beautiful to me may be hideous to you and vice versa.

5.There are no rules when it comes to makeup, do what feels good and right to you.

6.Experimenting is the only way to expand your makeup horizons and improve your looks and skill overall.

7.Makeup is supposed to be fun so dont stress yourself by trying and make it over complicated.

8.Something imperfect or not quite right to you will seem beautiful, perfect and impressive to the untrained eye.

9.Sometimes less is more, but sometimes more is better.

10. Most importantly, love yourself inside and out, with or without makeup.

Melina

First Impressions: LUSH Figs and Leaves Soap

Hey guys! So this is the first edition to my first impressions/review posts and as you can see it is another LUSH product. This time I am reviewing one of their soaps in Figs and Leaves. If youd like a full review on here or in a video then just let me know in a comment below:)

Where you can get it: www.lush.com or any LUSH counter or free standing store

Price:
$7.60 for 3.5 oz

Claim and Ingredients:
Serve your skin some nutritious figs. Figs are wonderfully nutritious and good for your body, and their little brown seeds will exfoliate the skin. But it's the scent of this soap that draws you in: floral, with an undertone of eastern exoticism.

The orange blossom and ylang ylang fragrance was inspired by the aunt of one of our inventors, but that doesn't mean it's old hat! This understated soap is one of our sexiest.

An extract of aloe vera is dark brown and has soothing properties.

Pros:
-Smells great
-Doesnt melt quickly
-Cleans well
-No filmy residue
-Smell lingers on the skin after

Cons:
-Not noticably moisturizing
-Didnt lather well
-Didnt feel any exfoliation

Final Thoughts:This soap could be a hit or miss depending on what you like your soaps to do. If you are looking for a wonderful smelling soap, that leaves you feeling really clean with no filmy residue left on your skin then this is the soap for you. However, if you prefer a soap that has a nice lather and leaves your skin feeling moisurized then this is not the best choice. This soap did seem to hold up well and looks like itll last me quite a while though so I do feel it is cost effective. I also enjoyed the fact that the smell lingered onmy skin for a bit after I got out of the shower; some people may not like this. Another important thing to note is if you are looking for an exfoliating soap, this will definetly not solve your problems.

*** stars for smelling great, cleansing well and cost effectivness. Hard to say whether or not Id reccommend because what people look for in soaps is subjective.

-Nice subtle smell
-Pretty color(when blueberries are in season)

Final Thoughts:Ive tried several other fresh face masks from LUSH and this is by far my favorite. It is definetly the best smelling thing I have smelled from LUSH as well. I will definetly be repurchasing this product! It made my skin nice and smooth, calmed redness, and helped existing breakouts. I cant say how it works on the skin long term because ive only used it once(hence this being a first impression)but, if you would like an update and full review on here or in a video then just let me know in a comment:)

***** stars and a definite recommendation:)
